The Navy League Cadet program welcomes boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12. Cadets come from many different backgrounds to share a common interest: making friends and having fun!
The Navy League of Canada is a civilian organization. Our cadet program uses a naval theme as a platform to develop:
• Good citizenship
• Leadership
• A sense of duty
• Self-discipline
• Teamwork
• Healthy living
• Respect for others
At Navy League Cadets, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and learn many new skills, which include sailing and canoeing, seamanship and rope work, marching, naval terminology, air rifle safety and marksmanship, and map and compass. There are also several other activities and community events, such as military commemorative parades, weekend camps, formal mess dinners, seasonal parties, wake-a-thons, skating and swimming, and much, much more.
